Maureen Palacios Maureen loves her life
as a bookseller, even though it ironically doesn’t afford her
much time to read! Managing the business is more than a
full-time job, but the best part of the job is getting
children excited about reading and seeing them come back in to
ask for the next book in a series. In her spare time, she
likes to play with her lab, Lucky, bake new creations with her
two daughters, and go to movies with her patient husband
Jorge. |

Judy Krueger has been an avid reader all
her life. She once tried to read all the fiction in the
library, just like Francie in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
Actually, she is still trying to do that. She loves her job at
Once Upon A Time because, “Working here I get to play with
books all day. My favorite thing is helping someone discover
just the right book.”
Since she has read a large percentage of our adult fiction
section, she can usually do just that!
